The IFR 4000 is a compact, lightweight and weatherproof unit designed for testing ILS, VOR, Marker Beacon and VHF/UHF communications avionics systems.

 

The IFR4000 is the latest navigation / communications avionics test set from Aeroflex. Following on from the highly successful NAV401 and NAV402 series the IFR4000 continues the tradition of portability and capability.

As to be expected with any NAV/COM test set the IFR4000 will verify  the operation and installation of ILS, VOR and Marker Beacon receivers as well as VHF/UHF AM/FM and HF AM/SSB transceivers. Combine these capabilities with its extreme lightness, ergonomic design plus long run time battery you will have a unit that can be used on the bench or in the cockpit.

When purchasing the IFR4000 you may want to consider purchasing the Emergency Locator Transmitter option (ELT). This option provides monitoring for 406 MHz COPAS/SARSAT Emergency Locator Transmitter (ELT), Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacons (EPIRB and Personal Locator) PLB Beacons including transmitter frequency and power. Consequently it eliminates the requirement and costs associated in purchasing a dedicated beacon test set.
