 Viavi 8800 Introduction And P25 Online Training With Live Workshop

This course, targeted at anyone associated with the installation and maintenance of radio communication networks, covers how to use the Viavi 8800, theory of P25 Phase I and II, and how to test the critical parameters of this protocol with the 8800.

The course is split into three stages. In the intial two stages students go through online presentations at their own pace. The third, optional extra stage, is a live workshop.

Stage 1. This will ensure there is a common level of understanding as we progress through to stage 3.
- 8800SX Overview & Operation
- 8800SX Auto Test Operation

Stage 2: Introduction to P25 Phase I and Phase II Technology
Attendees to watch these pre-recorded videos going through a quick overview of the technology. It covers the following areas of Phase I and Phase II respectively:
• Discussion on Analog to digital transition, digital Voice formation, Purpose of Filtering
• Modulation Scheme
• Channel Access Method
• Protocol– frame structure

Stage 3: This is an optional Extra
Practical Session (5 hour) –Online with the presenter.
• Questions on Menus Structure and Technology Overview to make sure attendees familiar to what they have gone through in Stage 1 and 2
• Understanding Critical Parameters –hands on with test equipment mobile/ portable /base station
• Analyzing the results in various methods to fault find
• Duplex Tuning using Tracking Generator
• Auto Test & Alignment Testing
• Overview of Site Testing Methodologies

In this stage we will also provide COMPLIMENTARY 2 hours of online and/or phone technical support per group (on a different suggested day ) in case they have any questions or queries related to the course or setup of the equipment.
